If you’re playing the corners (First, Third) you need a bigger glove (12.5″-14″), if you’re playing second or short, you’re usually recieving grounders quick and want to be able to get the ball out quick to get it to first, thus explaining why interior fielders usually use the smaller gloves (10″-12″).
Outfielders usually use the bigger gloves, like a third baseman, in order to have that much more of an advantage when trying to reach for a ball, diving, and sliding.
step 1 put 2-3 balls in your pocket and tape the glove in an X shape. step 2. dunk your glove in water for 3-5 minutes step 3 hang your glove to dry for the next 12 hours/over night step 4. unwrap your glove and put shaving cream, oil, or vaseline to softed up your glove.”i did this with my new rawlings glove and it worked very well! =D
these gloves suck, i know baseball!!! im the real deal when it comes to baseball, Roy Hobbs is a damn good brand for gloves, if you get an infeilders glove from roy hobbs, then you got it made, i have a roy hobbs glove and its lasted for about 10 years, i started playing when i was 3 years old, im 13 right now but i know my shit and if you need a glove, just get the roy hobbs infeilder glove! its real leather too, i play shortstop for about the best school in texas! so yall know i know baseball.
The best way to deepen the pocket is to wrap the glove around a ball, particularly a large ball like a softball. This will help create a bigger, deeper pocket.
The Rawlings Pro Preferred and Heart of the Hide models are good quality for high school. So are the Wilson A2K’s or 2000’s and Mizuno Pro Serires. For a middle infield position you really want a glove that is a little smaller like a 11 1/2 or 12. That way you can get the ball out of your glove as quick as posible.

Oh okay but is that good for an outfielder? I hardly play 2nd base. I always play outfield. I most likely need an outfileder glove.
A 14″ glove is very big. I would get a smaller glove for 2nd base. The glove in video looks like a 11.5″, thats a good size for infielders.
I just bought my first glove.
It’s a Wilson Elite WTA2444, 14″….. Is that good for an outfielder? And sometimes I play 2nd base.
I so dont know because I just started plying last year and I borrowed my friend’s glove last year too.
i have that exact same glove but im selling it cuz i got a nokona and i dont play outfield
