On April 25, 1976 at Dodger Stadium, Rick Monday of the Chicago Cubs, grabbed and secured the American flag from two muslims attempting to burn our flag in the middle of the playing field. It was an outstanding display of American Patriotism.

I did not know about this event but I am glad to have watched it now. Rick Monday should have gotten the MVP for the year.

@randyjsing I read somewhere that they were protesting that the mother had been incarcerated in a mental institution or something. I really don’t know beyond that.
@MrSuperGuava I did, mainly because the video description labels the two protesters as being Muslim, when in fact they were two white Americans.
It’s weird how there isn’t much history regarding why these fools tried to burn the flag. If they aren’t muslim then I don’t understand why there’s misinformation…it seems like there’s not enough info to conclude who these people were other than it was a father and a son…I’d like to know if someone can find more credible info on these two people. Way to go Rick Monday! I would’ve done the same thing.

America has so many problems, and its hard to believe how things get worse every year. The hard working American seems to go no where. The American Dream to us is just a dream. One thing will always bring us together,,is our nations US Flag. Thanks Rick Monday for that act of Patriotism! You didn’t think, You just did it because it was the right thing to do. Our leaders need to learn how to to just that.
