Raw Video: Hockey Coach Lashes Out Over Ref Call

The coach of a Louisiana team goes wild in the middle of a match in Florida. A referee’s call made him so angry he threw several items, including a cooler and hockey sticks onto the ice. He’s been suspended from coaching indefinitely. (Nov. 10)
That was a fun game to watch! I was on the Pensacola Iceflyer’s side. I had no idea he got suspended from coaching. I root for the Iceflyers (seeing as how I am from Pensacola) but I think that is a little harsh. I mean, no one got hurt by his actions that I saw and it helped make the game even more interesting and fun to watch! I thought he got suspended for the rest of the game and that was it. :-/ poor guy!

note to johnmalory26: think this could only happen in hockey? I guess you haven’t seen managers throwing all the bats and any other equipment in the dugout onto the field. Or seen Coach Knight throwing chairs out onto the basketball floor, or watch Woody Hayes throwing things onto the field at Ohio State, and try to brake the down marker.
Hockey is fun, but most sports have seen this kind of thing.
I support this coaches actions! He’s just looking out for the players, not just his own either good officiating protects both sides
Two of our players got hit with high sticks in the face the night before that didnt get called. After the game both had to get stitches. So the next game, which is this one, our coach told the reffs if they miss calls again he was gonna through everything thats not bolted down on the ice and thats what he did. This is according to him the next day on a local talk radio show.
Oh man, this is exactly like my coach! “You guys get paid 80 bucks a game, to skate around and not the the f*cken rules!!!,” my couch.

What he ended up making on the ice with all those things had something artistic to it actually.
Atleast there are coaches out there that have the compation to stick up for the players instead of these new coaches that stand there like they have a stick up their asses and do nothing when a jerk off ref throws a call.
